Week 1

- Rest with head elevation

Weeks 2–3
- Sutures and dressings typically managed by the surgical team
- Swelling continues improving
- Bruising continues fading
- Many patients begin resuming low-key social activities
Weeks 3–4
- Return to non-public-facing work for many patients
- Light exercise (walking) often resumed with surgeon clearance
Months 1–3
- Facial contours continue to refine
- Residual edema gradually improves
- Most patients return to full activity around 6 weeks per surgeon clearance
Months 3–12
- Scar maturation continues
- Tissue settling continues
- Final refinement becomes more visible
Travel Considerations
International patients should plan for an extended initial recovery period locally before traveling home, per surgeon guidance. Avoid long flights too soon after surgery.
Follow-Up Visits
Structured follow-up at the surgical facility, with telehealth follow-up available after the patient returns home. Patients are advised to identify a local physician for in-person care if needed.
